Hi everyone, I’m a high school teacher of English and Music. I’m sociable, talkative and I love getting to know new people. I grew up in Brno, I’m a member of the Scouts and I’ve been working and studying in the USA for some time. In my free time, I watch TV series or do some sports, sing in a choir, play the piano, but what I like the most is hanging out with my friends.

I like my classes to be brisk and fun, and because of my practice from high school, I offer lots of fun activities to practice you spoken production. I always want my students to extend their vocabulary as well as knowledge of grammar. Also, I’ll make sure you will get immediate feedback during the classes because it is a very effective aspect on your way to learn English. I’m looking forward to seeing you!

My name is Eva and I come from Brno. I’m a student of English and Music at Masaryk University hoping to become a full-time English teacher. I love music – singing, playing the piano and guitar. I also like dancing, gymnastics and sometimes even jogging or yoga. What I love the most is baking (and especially eating) plenty of sweets.

I am an American who has been living in Europe for a total of 16 years. My Czech is good, but my skills have definitely fossilized and I make the same mistakes over and over. I have worked as a journalist and English teacher, and for the last 20 years I have worked in corporate communications. I have written many speeches in my career for business people, but now I am active in Toastmasters so that I can learn how to be a better public speaker. I love time with friends, which is unfortunately harder to come by in these busy times. Like James Baldwin said, I love debating people with whom I do not disagree too much.

Unfortunately, traditional teaching methods have unfortunately convinced people that grammar is boring and unhelpful, but if it’s done right, it can help people communicate efficiently and with confidence.

Hi, I am Giles and I am from the UK. I am a professional journalist, writer and film maker. I have an English Literature degree and a lot of experience teaching people of all different levels how to improve their English. When I am not teaching I like rock climbing and running in the hills with my dog, Olly.

In my lessons we will concentrate on improving your English through conversation about a wide range of topics. We will play games and discuss subjects which interest you. During the course I will create lessons and materials that will focus on the specific areas you need to practise. Prior to moving to Brno, I lived in a small city in Mississippi where I worked as a bilingual (English and Spanish) receptionist for medical clinics. Hello, I am Illia, but you can also call me Elijah. I am from Ukraine and was raised in the US. I am now a student in Prague. My hobbies are constantly changing, but no matter what, cooking remains my favorite thing in this world. I cook all sorts of things, ranging from ramen (the real, homemade kind) to cast iron cookies. As an active person, I always need to be moving around and that translates well into my lessons which involve games, science, crafts, and magic!

Hi, my name is Sarah. I’m from England and I’ve lived in the Czech Republic for over 12 years now. I live in South Moravia with my partner and two children. I am enjoying countryside living after so many years in the city, exploring the nature around us. I also love gardening, baking, arts and crafts, movies and music.

I gained my TEFL certificate in 2008 after spending time teaching adults and children in an orphanage in Cambodia.
